Here in Vermont we have a growing number of Tai Chi teachers.  Most teach Yang style tai chi.  Most of the forms I teach are based on Sun style--the youngest of the 4 major tai chi varieties.  Throughout Sun style we maintain the back in an upright posture, and every time we take a step we perform a "follow-step" with the other foot.  I believe that Sun style is best for those who come to tai chi late in life or who have any kind of joint problems.

Every class includes warm-ups and cool-downs.  And each form I teach includes qi gong deep breathing.

Starting in fall 2010, I will probably also be teaching Yang short form......
